Reno sips from his glass and gestures Rude to sit down on the bed next to him, in lack of other places to sit, unless they want to sit on the small kitchen counter.
"What, ya were expecting him to show up again? I thought people just .. vanish and stay gone." He stares at the whiskey in his hand for a moment. "what do ya think you wanna do now?"
"Sometimes people return. Sometimes they don't remember this place, sometimes they do. And sometimes a lot of time has passed for them, or nothing at all. I don't think anyone really understands the way that functions."
It is easier to explain that talk about what he feels or plans to do. He moves to sit on the bed next to Reno.
"I don't actually know. I know Dorian is afraid I'll leave over this. But at the same time I don't know how much shit Rhys is going to give him over having other lovers."
"every time I think I understand this fucking place .. yeah no, none of this makes any sense, but I guess that's just how it is," he shrugs, but that's not the point of this conversation anyway.
He nudges the bottle of expensive whiskey more into Rude's direction, knowing that they're not exactly good at talking feelings, no matter which ones. Except maybe anger. Reno has always been good at announcing who annoys the shit out of him. But Rude? Not so much.
"Guess that Rhys guy gotta accept what Dorian's doing, if he's been gone for a while. Can't expect anyone to wait when it's not even sure that they show up again," his gaze flickers back down to his whiskey, thumb rubbing over the rim of the glass as if to remove an invisible stain. This isn't the time and place to be jealous, even he knows it. "Would ya? If he picks him again? Though if the guy wants to make Dorian decide, he's a huge asshole, that's for sure."
