Oh no, I think I eat enough leftovers as it is. I should probably finish what's currently in the fridge before I add to it unnecessarily.
[Tim's fridge would be soda and take out containers if it weren't for Kyle and Rhys occasionally cooking insisting on a home cooked meal.]
Oh yeah, it was just a game while we waited for Bruce to be done with board meetings [It doubled as training though but Tim would say he could justify most things as training at this point]
Oh. Yeah I have spent many hours waiting for board meetings to be done. We would be training, finishing up paperwork or sometimes Reno and I would sneak up to the roof for a smoke break.
[Tim starts to slow as he eats, moving the food around more than he's putting it into his mouth, not from disinterest but because his thoughts are wandering.]
To think that I would give anything to go back to when I was bored outside of a board room. I was inside the board room the day I was taken from my city.
I think Bruce would have preferred to be chasing us up and down the stairs as well.
[Tim nods, although he thinks he'd miss how easy his life felt back then even he was at home in Gotham]
I miss Alfred making me cucumber sandwiches and tea before we played video games together. I miss these very specific hot dogs just around the corner from Crime Alley. I miss the view from the top of Wayne Tower.
That is a lot more fancy than when Reno and I played videogames. We'd order pizza and have beers and snacks and just play the whole night sometimes. Good way to decompress and not think about anything going on outside the little bubble you're in right then.
Alfred was a fancy person, and he knew I liked those sandwiches. They were always cut perfectly and placed on nice china too. And then we'd just sit there and play video games.
It was an interesting juxtaposition but he was like that. He also really liked football, like American football and soap operas but he'd pretend it was all above him too.
"What kind of games did you play? What kind of games exist in your world?"
"It depended on our mood but we did do a lot of car racing games, mostly against each other. Being a Turk is the kind of job where you end up with some pretty extensive driving practice, both to evade being followed or stopped and to be the one following or stopping. Sometimes we would use that to test if the game was built for reality. Fighting games too. And sometimes if we were in the mood for something completly different we'd do something where you run around saving the world."
"Oh yeah, just for something different you'd save the world hey? In between video games?" Tim scoffs, trying to hide the smile at how familiar this kind of talk is to him. He aches to see his friends again, play some video games and save the world on the side.
"I could bring some car racing games over some time?" It's something they could perhaps do together where Tim biting Rude's head off won't feel so venomous.
Rude smiles slightly as well when he spots the way Tim is trying hide the smile. He is familiar with the feelings, he misses Reno, and he is glad Tim and he has some more things to bond over.
"I would like that a lot. I haven't really played games since I got here, it would be nice to do that again."
"Alright, I'll arrange to do that. I don't know if Dorian has spent any time playing games here. It doesn't seem like his kind of thing, but I suppose we can show him?" Tim shrugs.
"I should introduce you to Idia, though. He likes all games and wants to design more of them. Although he likes a lot of those dating ones."

This place makes you long for the strangest things, hm?
That said, I am not entirely sure I'd rather go back.
