If I'm being honest, I'd likely burn anything I tried to cook. But perhaps we could meet somewhere for a drink. I don't think we've met.

There is a place called the Neptune Lounge that I like quite a bit. Perhaps there?

[ About two hours later, Rude's by the door to the lounge. He's showered and dressed in his normal suit again after the workout and he has an easy relaxed look on his face. ]

[nuntius]

[ Castiel is, well - dressed as usual, trench in place, backwards tie, hair slightly mussed. He appears out of nowhere, just a soft flutter and a rustling of the debris on the ground, hands loose by his sides. ]

[ Rude looks him over and raises an eyebrow slightly. Granted he is used to much worse from Reno but even so. ]

Hello. You're Castiel, right?

[nuntius]

[ Castiel is a little weirdo who just shows up in peoples apartments and right beside them, often a little too close. ]

Yes, that's me. You must be Rude.

That I am. Nice to meet you.

[ He smiles and offers Castiel his hand in greeting. ]

[nuntius]

[ He learned the art of the handshake from Sam, though at least by now he's much better at it and doesn't call people abominations to their face anymore. Usually. He gives it a shake and an awkward smile, like the feeling is still foreign on his face. ]

Shall we?

[not_actually_a_bad_guy]

[ Rude nods and then moves to hold the door open for Castiel. Once they are both inside he nods to a table in a more quiet section. ]

How about that one?

[nuntius]

That's perfect.

[ Quiet tends to be preferable when you're trying to get to know someone.

Easier to get drinks too. Castiel works two jobs, he has a little money. Please, Dean gives him some. That helps. ]

How new are you?

I've been here about a week. It's been a lot to adjust to.

[ Rude sits down with a bit of a sigh. It really had been a lot to adjust to. ]

[nuntius]

It...does take some time, admittedly. I was angry when I first arrived, and I attacked the guards. I spent my first week in the people zoo.

[ Which really hadn't been fun. ]

Yeah? I've only heard shit about that. Sounds terrible.

[nuntius]

It is. [ His voice is a little dry as he lifts a hand to flag a server down, ordering a whiskey for himself and whatever his companion would like. ]

I don't recommend it.

Good to know. I will try to stay away from it.

[ Rude orders the same, giving the man a quick smile as he does. ]
